The Elizabethan Dog

Last year, I was commissioned to paint a pet portrait. Something I've never done before and  normally wouldn't interest me, except the quirkiness of this commission appealed to me - a dog portrait set in a famous painting or historic costume. It's a genre I've seen before and I thought it would be fun to do something completely extravagant. I was also given a lot of freedom with it, a condition every artists loves when doing a commission.

  1. Even Kate Middleton isn't this regal.

  2. Why hello there young lady! As my very first commenter on my new blog you win! My gratitude that it, sorry it can't be something finer.

  3. This is brilliant - and yes I've noticed you go missing on FB.... am thinking about chucking it too...

    Merry Christmas!
